I had to laugh at myself because at first look I thought this was a fish playing peek-a-boo lol Amazing how well this butterfly blends in. I would have missed seeing this. So glad you captured this image and its in your gallery. I have never seen one before. V/F

Artist's Description

The Freyer's Grayling (Hipparchia fatua) is a butterfly of the family Nymphalidae. The species can be found from the Balkans, through Anatolia up to Iran.
The wingspan is 30–34 millimetres. The butterflies fly from June to October.
The larvae feed on various types of grass.
